The 782 Club - Design, Configuration and Statistics
LYN was a unique locomotive, but built using as many standard components
as were available - a technique pioneered by Baldwin in locomotive
construction. In 1898, two similar locomotives were also built - for use
on the Victoria Railway in Australia - but these were 2-6-2s, and built
for a larger gauge.
The statistics from these two classes indicate some of the
